PC4-1 : N-Glycosylation Site Determination

Test Introduction

Glycosylation sites are initially identified as part of a peptide mapping study using Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LCMS). Glycosylation at each individual site is then characterized following release of the glycans from each purified glycopeptide using a range of effective techniques, including fragment ion information from LC-MS/MS. It is one of the process of peptide mapping involving enzymes treatment (PNGase-F and protease) for determining the localization of oligosaccharide linked to asparagine in target proteins.
